These days Jared Scott lives in Brooklyn and is the lead singer of In Cadeo, an indie band I sometimes go to see play in the village. But before that Jared and I went to Indiana U. together. I remember putting together the recording session for this tune. Jared was teaching me the song and I had a hard time remembering all the different parts. But we were going in the studio the next day, so I had to pull it together.

Probably because there are so many parts, I often use this as my pop/rock keyboard demo. I’m playing organ and piano on the recording. The bassist we had lined up didn’t show, so I’m actually playing synth bass as well, but you can’t make that out as well.
