NEW YORK MAN BEGINS NEW BLOG, PRETENDS PEOPLE CARE

New York, NY – NY-based musician Dave Hahn began a new blog today that will be featured on his website, www.davidjhahn.org.

Hahn expects his new blog will be as popular as his last. He hopes to have 12-15 people visit it in the next 6 months.

“Yeah, I mean, chances are somebody’s going to read it. I mean, I read it.” Hahn said in a recent interview.

The excitement is apparent.

“Oh, I think it’s the best thing ever!” Hahn’s mother, Julie, said early Saturday. “I’m going to read it everyday!”

“Well, I think my girlfriend will probably read it.” Hahn said. “Or maybe I’ll read it to her. You know, on her voicemail or something.”

Hahn’s blog, which he named “blog” in memory of his first blog, will be a collection of observations about his daily life, as well as non-observations and self-centered ramblings regarding the way he feels about every day objects, like milk and trains. “I might put some stories on there, too. But not, like, ones I can’t tell. I won’t put those up.” He adds, “Seriously, Zach, I won’t put any of those up. Promise. Especially not the one about Cancun and the ‘hot sauce’.”

But not everyone is as excited.

The family cat is reported to be apprehensive about the new online journal. Charlie Cat was unavailable for comment at the time of publication, but sources close to Cat believe he’s concerned about the way he is frequently portrayed by Hahn – as a markedly unintelligent ball of fur who seems unable to recognize his own name or see the entertainment in any of the 7,000 toys his owners have purchased for him.

When asked whether the blog feels like a new beginning, Hahn commented,

“No, not really. It’s more like a separate beginning. Like, a different one.”

I actually wrote this when I was in Cortland with you! I’d started a blog while I was there (bored much?), and just stole it for this new blog. I asked myself if I could steal it, and myself said yes.

  3. Love this press release!!! So am I visitor #12 or #15?

    David,
Your life seems … slightly interesting but tell us more about the cat “Charlie”.
And it is ok to tell us the truth – Charlie is an imaginary friend isn’t he. It’s not uncommon for a OK a piano artist to have a rich (but lonely) fantasy life.
    Mike
