Bio

David J. Hahn is a pianist, conductor and songwriter in New York City.

Dave was most recently the Associate Conductor for the Broadway revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, starring Harry Connick, Jr. Other Broadway credits include Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Conductor/K1, K2 substitute) and Sister Act (K2 substitute).

Dave toured North America as the conductor of Leonard Bernstein’s Wonderful Town and worked as the Associate Synth Programmer for Alan Menken’s Leap of Faith at the Ahmonson Theater in Los Angeles.

Dave’s solo piano recording of Hoagy Carmichael’s “Nearness of You”, from his 2006 album Straight Ahead, can be heard in the Sony/Screen Gems feature film Takers, staring Matt Dillon and Hayden Christensen.

Co-founder of the career website MusicianWages.com, Dave’s articles have been published in the International Musician, the Allegro (NYC) and the Overture (LA).

Dave is also the creator the iPhone app WinterSpark and a series of ringtones that will likely ensure that he can never run for public office.
