DAVID J. HAHN

david-j-hahnDavid J. Hahn is a music director and pianist in New York City. He works for theatre productions, auditions, classes and individuals.

Dave is currently the Associate Conductor for the revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and the Associate Synth Programmer for Alan Menken's Leap of Faith.

Dave's playing can be heard in the Sony Pictures/Screen Gems movie, Takers. He has contributed as a music career specialist to websites like About.com and the Huffington Post. Dave works as a staff music director and accompanist at New York University, where he helps teach musical theatre classes in the CAP21 Studio.

Co-founder of the website MusicianWages.com, Dave's articles have been published in the International Musician, the Allegro (NYC) and the Overture (LA).

Dave is a proud cancer survivor and has written extensively about his experience with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and ABVD chemotherapy. His writings have been featured in several newspapers, including the Boston Globe.

Active in environmental and health advocacy, Dave is a volunteer with the Wildlife Conservation Society and the Pew Environmental Group in Washington, D.C. He has campaigned on Capital Hill for the Global Conservation Act of 2010 and continues to advocate for this important legislation.
